FANTASTIC POST! Great idea, very worthwhile …
I think the list is great until #5 – then it changes into something else. There are all kinds of organisations and types of people who Tweet – that part is less interesting (to me) than the first half of this – which identifies communications patterns (that are entirely emergent and useful to know about).
I’d personally narrow it to the “message types” (characteristics of with examples) and leave genre for another post?

Another grouping — actually my main grouping — is “Professional Interest Group” consisting of people in or related to my prof. area (which happens to be educational technology) — easil 80% of my activity is there — twitter would be useless to me without this community.

Great overview. What about zappos, that combines employee tweets with buzz monitoring?
